Catalyst is Tripkicks' next-generation platform that transforms corporate travel programs from policy-enforcement systems into intelligent behavioral guidance engines. Built on five pillars -- Aligned (company goals become traveler actions), Intelligent (behavioral + situational scoring), Adaptive (messaging that evolves with each interaction), Verified (every tactic measured by behavior change, not just impressions), and Evolving (the system gets smarter over time) -- Catalyst unifies the Smart Prioritization Engine, Adaptive Personalization, the Behavioral Playbook, and the Touchpoint Architecture into a single coherent system. It's the strategic positioning of everything Tripkicks does.

How It Works

Catalyst is the strategic umbrella that unifies everything Tripkicks does into a single, coherent behavioral intelligence platform. Rather than offering a collection of disconnected features, Catalyst positions the entire system around five pillars that map to how travel managers think about program success.

Aligned means the platform starts with the client's goals — cost reduction targets, sustainability commitments, preferred supplier adoption rates — and translates them into specific traveler-level actions. Every piece of guidance traces back to a measurable program objective.

Intelligent refers to the Smart Prioritization Engine, which uses dual-axis scoring (behavioral + situational) to determine what message each traveler sees and when. A frequent compliant booker gets different guidance than someone who consistently books off-program — and the system knows the difference automatically.

Adaptive means the messaging evolves. If a light nudge isn't working, the system escalates. If a traveler responds well, it reinforces. The playbook's 39 tactics aren't static templates — they're living strategies that adjust based on observed behavior over time.

Verified means every tactic is measured by actual behavior change, not just impressions or click-through rates. The KPI framework tracks whether travelers actually changed what they did after seeing guidance, and quantifies the cost avoidance that resulted.

Evolving means the system gets smarter with each interaction. Behavioral scores update continuously, tactic effectiveness is monitored, and the playbook itself can be refined based on aggregate performance data across the client portfolio.

I'm going to new york for a few meetings on Friday. My last meeting isn't until later in the afternoon... like 4pm. Can I stay in NYC Friday night and come back home saturday?

You can extend your business trip to include a personal stay if you follow the proper process. The policy allows adding a personal leg to your business itinerary as long as expenses are clearly separated and you request it with your original travel booking. For flights, if your combined business-personal itinerary costs the same or less than the business-only fare, there's no additional cost. If it costs more, you'll pay the difference on your personal card. The policy doesn't specify detailed requirements for hotel extensions or approval processes for weekend stays, so I'd recommend checking with your Travel Program team about the specific steps for extending your Friday night meeting trip through Saturday. They can guide you through the approval process and expense separation requirements.
