Product details

Dynamic messaging to help travelers find the best time to purchase airline tickets, based on historical data and current market trends. 'Book now' guidance appears when prices are expected to rise, and travelers can be notified when prices are expected to drop. When significant cost savings are possible with alternate dates, travelers see the savings potential of shifting. Within search results, carrier-specific trends display if prices are rising or expected to drop. This connection turns airfare data into actionable, real-time guidance at the point of booking -- not a report after the fact.

How It Works

Airfare Intelligence turns raw pricing data into actionable guidance at the moment a traveler is searching for flights. Instead of hoping travelers know when to book, the system tells them.

When a traveler searches for a flight, they see real-time pricing intelligence:

  • If prices are expected to rise, they see a clear "Book Now" recommendation

  • If prices are expected to drop, they're advised to wait -- with an option to be notified

  • If shifting dates by a day or two saves significant money, they see the comparison

  • Carrier-specific trends show which airlines are trending up or down for that route

This is a premium partner connection powered by airfare market data, delivered through Catalyst's tile and modal system within the booking flow.

I'm going to new york for a few meetings on Friday. My last meeting isn't until later in the afternoon... like 4pm. Can I stay in NYC Friday night and come back home saturday?

You can extend your business trip to include a personal stay if you follow the proper process. The policy allows adding a personal leg to your business itinerary as long as expenses are clearly separated and you request it with your original travel booking. For flights, if your combined business-personal itinerary costs the same or less than the business-only fare, there's no additional cost. If it costs more, you'll pay the difference on your personal card. The policy doesn't specify detailed requirements for hotel extensions or approval processes for weekend stays, so I'd recommend checking with your Travel Program team about the specific steps for extending your Friday night meeting trip through Saturday. They can guide you through the approval process and expense separation requirements.
